A babydoll is a short, often sleeveless, loose fitting nightgown or negligee intended as sexy lingerie for women. Some have formed cups called a bralette for cleavage with an attached skirt reaching the upper thigh. Babydolls are usually made of sheer or translucent fabric like nylon or chiffon or silk, often trimmed with lace or ruffles, and have spaghetti straps.
